The Dens
Leaders Den:
The leaders den is located in the center of camp, in a large abandoned foxes den.
The leaders den is the only den located underground, and is used to shelter the elders and kits during emergencies, and as a prey-hole during especially harsh winters.
Just behind the entrance to the leaders den, there is a large, smooth rock that Rosestar uses to address Clan meetings.
Medicine Cat's Den:
The medicine cat's den is located within the root-caves of the nursery's tree, directly beside the warriors den. The herbs are stored at the back of the root-caves while the medicine cat's nest is near the entrance. There is room for five injured or sick cats in the adjacent root-cave, where a pool of fresh water collects from the rain.
Warriros Den
On the eastern side of camp, right near the main entrance, the warriors sleep in a shallow dip lined with moss and various lichens.
The senior warriors sleep near the center of the den for warmth during the night, and the youngest sleep towards the outside of the dip, as they will be the fastest to react come an invasion. They are located directly below the nursery and apprentices den to provide protection for their young.
Apprentices Den
The apprentices den is located six foxlengths above the actual camp, in one of the large trees on the north-eastern side of camp. The climbing helps build their muscles and sharpen their claws, to help them with their daily training, and the height provides a good view on the entire camp, while keeping them out of the way.
Their den is in a large hollow in the tree, and can provide space for up to seven apprentices at a time. Sometimes when there are too many apprentices, the most senior apprentices will have to find a nest among the branches of the tree.
Nursery
The nursery is also located six foxlengths above the actual camp, in the tree right beside the apprentices den. This keeps the kits and queens safe from foxes or wolves that might smell the newborn kitscent, and also keeps the kits out of trouble. The kits learn at the age of three moons how to safely use the tree branches to climb down to camp, with the help of their mothers. The kits get to watch camp life and learn what it means to be a warrior.
Elders Den
The Elders den is located in the south-western portion of camp. They enjoy the secluded area to nap and tell stories, and even sunbathe in the rare sunlight that seeps through the forest canopy. The den itself is located in the root caves of the large pine trees surrounding the camp.
Fresh Kill Pile
The fresh kill pile is located three foxlengths above the ground, on the western side of camp. It's stored in a tree hollow to keep it's scent from spreading through the forest, and to keep any rain off of it. Apprentices are responsible for feeding the elders and queens.
